It can take four years to earn a bachelor's degree in dietetics and/or nutrition; but it depends upon the class loads and how hard one works to complete the class requirements.
From someone who is currently studying to become a nutritionist, I can tell you there are more than a few ways to get your degree. You can become a nutritionist, licensed by a variety of certifications, with just an associates degree of 2 years. There are also many certifications that take just 12 to 24 months to get.
If you'd like a bachelor's degree, especially to become a registered dietitian, you will have to take a 4-year course load of classes. This could probably be done in under 4 years, but you would be very busy.
I chose a program online so that I could continue my work as a nutritionist's assistant, until I finished my degree. I will take 4 years total, but would like to also take a 2 years master's degree in nutrition when I finish.
