How many people are infected with HIV in Uganda in 2011?

In 2011, it was estimated that approximately 1.5 million people were living with HIV in Uganda. The prevalence of HIV among adults in the country was around 7.2%. Uganda has made significant progress in its response to the epidemic, but the disease remained a major public health challenge at that time.
