Not usually, although some owls seem to screech to reveal other animals.

Bats (flying mammals) are the ones that send out sound waves using their mouth or nose. When the sound hits an object, an echo comes back. The bats can identify an object and its distance by the echo. They can even tell the size and shape from its echo. Most bats use echolocation to navigate in the dark and find food.
