How does tourism help LEDCs?

Tourism helps LEDCs by bringing in outside money wich can help turn their country into a NIC. Sometimes however, this can be bad because if tourism for the country goes bad and the country is dependant of the money brought it from travellers then they will be worse off than in the first place. A good example for this is Zimbabwai.
