2005 F350 superduty diesel stalls and hard to start when it does it idles rough then suddenly it will start running good then few hours later it will have no power and won't go past idle speed?

take it to your local Ford dealer and have them replace the cam sensor for free. There is a current safety recall on this item. if you have already replaced the sensor, you can have a new FORD part installed and request a refund if you can provide a receipt for the one you put in. you need to replace the cam positioning sensor. thses cost about 50 bucks from auto zone, double that from ford. the snsor is located above harmonic balance on front of engine block. to replace, get under truck, remove attaching bolt, unplug wire harness, pull sensor out. install new sensor,replace wire harness reinstall bolt. not much to it, just a little difficult to get at
