What are the advantages and disadvantages of living in a shanty town?

advantages: close community, job opportunities because they are in/near big cities, quite easy to set up your own business e.g.shoe shining.

disadvantages: badly built houses in danger of collapsing, bad hygiene, unclean water, no electricity, little education, because they live so close fires and disease can spread easier.
