What does mew'd mean in shakespeare?

In Macbeth the witch says "Twice the brinded cat hath mew'd" in which it is the sound a cat makes, same as what it means now. But it also appears in the phrase "all mew'd up to her heaviness". In this case it can mean enclosed.
