Why does Robert insist they need a real pig rather than someone to pretend to be a pig?

In Lord of the Flies, Robert gets hurt when he pretends to be a pig in the boys' reenactment of their hunt. Robert wants them to get a real pig so that they can kill it instead of hurting him.
