The significance of solar-based electricity stems from its green background which means its "nature-friendly." This is because of its renewable nature that allows it to compete against non-renewable sources which have issues when it comes to long-term effects such as global warming or climate change.

Comparing this to other sources of renewable energy such as wind-based power, solar panels which solar energy is harvested can be small and lightweight to power a person's everyday gadgets and even the lights in a household. Solar panels are also easy to setup, easy to purchase, and easy to understand.
