What should you do if your baby snapper is about the size of a nickel and you have tried feeding it flies and turtle food but it won't eat?

when the snapper is young it wont eat because its still surrounded by the egg york so it doesnt have to eat as it gets older it will start eating. i had the same problem when my snapper was a baby:)
