1- drain the primar oil
2- take off the primary cover.
3- take off the chain tensioner.
4 remove the nut on the clutch case center. pull the oring with proper o ring removal tool it squeezes and comes out , then you have remove the bolt that ut was on. it comes stright out and behnd it is a 30 mm nut that has to be turned clockwise to losen.
the primary side where the starot is has a 1-1/2 incher nut that has to be turned conter clock wise. they are tight to about 150lbs of tourque. i got mine off using a 3 foot bar on the end of the 17 inch breaker bar. it comes free but slowly.
5 remove those 2 teeterded units with the chain still attached as one unit.
6 pull them toward you slowly they will all come off as a unit.
7 your left with the magnetic rotor over a hub and the stator inside
8 pull the rotor toward you..if you are carful it will come with out special tools. i used 2 hooks put them in the holes on each side and came straight off like takig the rim off a hub . when you get that off you will see the stator... there are 4 tox screws in that take those out counter clock wise, carsefull not to scar the inside of the primary....
9 disconnect the wire plug to the regularor, pluu it back thogh the case ans you are dne to start replacement. ..
