What are the laws about having your kids has passengers in a semi truck on short hauls?

Some sort of letter authorising them to be passengers in your vehicle must be kept in the vehicle with you. Other than that, it's really a matter of company and customer policy. If you have a kid in the truck with you, and your customer says only you can come onto the property with your truck, then you have to figure out what to do with the kid.
