Who is a freelance designer?

A freelance designer is someone who do graphics design on a contract basis. He or she is not employed by a design agency, and will not receive the usual employment benefits enjoyed by regular employees. He or she may work from a home office or remotely. A freelance designer can also work closely with a copywriter.
