Is it a sin to braid your hair?

1 Timothy 2:9-10King James Version (KJV)

9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

I believe Christian ladies, young and old, need to give thought to the question of modesty when they put on, and when they put off, their clothes, and what The Bible says about everything we should do. Their beauty is not to result from undue attention to their outward appearance, but as one of many products of their inward spirits.
