The country code for the People's Republic of China is +86.

You must drop the trunk prefix '0' from the beginning of the Chinese number. For example, Beijing's area code 010 becomes +86 10.

Mobile numbers begin with +86 130 through +86 189.

Country code +86 does not include Hong Kong (+852), Macau (+853), or Taiwan/Republic of China (+886).

(The plus sign means "insert your international access prefix here." From a GSM mobile phone, you can enter the number in full international format, starting with the plus sign. The most common prefix is 00, but North America (USA, Canada, etc.) uses 011, Japan uses 010, Australia uses 0011, and many other countries use different prefixes.)
