Can you tune a guitar if your tone deaf?

If one is truly tone deaf, they are unable to distinguish between musical notes and this cannot be learned. The analogy would be like someone being color blind, they cannot be taught to see the right colors.

People who have difficulty with this often simply lack musical training, and that can be taught. The analogy would be people who don't know what color magenta is (and think it's just pink) because they don't really know about colors, but could be taught the names of the colors (and have no problems seeing them).
