To bleed the air out of a zero turn mower's hydraulic system, first ensure the mower is on a flat surface and the engine is off. Engage the parking brake and move the hydraulic levers back and forth several times to help release trapped air. Start the engine and let it idle, then slowly move the levers through their full range of motion to circulate fluid and expel any remaining air. Check the hydraulic fluid level afterward and top off if necessary.
