How do proboscis monkeys protect themselves?

Monkeys in general, including proboscis monkeys, are not designed to fend off predators. Instead, they live in the trees where most predators can't access them. In the case that they were attacked by a predator that could get to them, they would flee rather than fight.

Also they have certain noises like a screech or honk that warn others.
