Most likely it is, A lot of these websites hook people in with attractive photos and enticing profiles, but you always have to pay to view a profile or send emails. Also a lot of these websites suffer from bots, programs mascarading as real people. If you do manage to engage an actual person behind a computer 95% of the time they will try to get you to join an online webcam show which is more money. My advice is to steer clear from all websites like this.
