How do you tell the difference between bamboo and wicker furniture?

I'm not in the business, but from personal observation over many years, I think the major difference is that the bamboo will have the periodic "joints" between segments visible on close examination. To my recollection, wicker doe NOT have any segmental jointsl. j3h.
