It is Dependant on your age, to effectively get fitter and lose weight, you should look to keep your heart rate in your aerobic zone which is 60% of your maximum heart rate. your maximum heart rate is 220-your age. for a twenty year old person it would be worked out as: 220-20=200. 200x0.6=120. so for a 20 year old person they should be looking at their heart rate to be around 120 during exercise.
