What is the difference between a jackal and a coyote?

Coyotes tend to get a little bit bigger than jackals.Sometimes coyotes can get twice the size of a jackal.Jackals live in Africa, southern Asia, and southwestern Europe.Desert coyotes tend to weigh 20 pounds which is the same size of a jackal.
