Yes, they can. It's quite cute, actually. Now, please know not all Piigies will do this. Some just like to lick people's fingers, some bite, some sniff, and it goes on and on. It depends on the personality!

Guinea pigs will lick you because your skin is covered with a fine layer of salt which pigs need a little of in their diets (just like us!). A salt lick in the hutch will ensure your pig has the salt he needs whenever he wants it.
