How do you delete your Twitter account?

To delete a Twitter account (log in first) just select Settings from the top right-hand corner and it should come out with a page with all your details like name, email, country etc. Scroll down and at the very bottom click on "Deactivate My Account"

Remember that if you delete your account, you will not be able to reset it.

If you wish to use the same email address or username on a new account then you must follow these instructions:

• Change your email and username in your account settings before deleting.
• Click on the activation email you will receive on the new email account you chose.
• Then deactivate your account.

You'll then be able to use your original email and username for a new account after 30 days.
