My stuck VHS tape is inside VHS player of TV set. Don't see how to open this area--only acces seems to be the door where the VHS is. How can you remove a VHS tape stuck in a DVD and VHS player?

First things first, take the cover off the DVD/VHS player (unplugged), there may be a stainless cover over the vhs tape carriage. Remove this also. The tape should be accessible now. flip the access panel on the vhs tape all the way up, you will have to hold it up as it is spring loaded. You should see the actual tape. Lift the tape up and off any rollers or pins in the tape compartment. once this is done you should be able to manually push the tape out of the loading door. LonJames1 at hotmail dot com.

Be careful, though, as the tape will most likely be wrapped around one of the spindle guides that sit beside the rollers. I lost a few tapes forgetting to look for that! wjs1632
