Which carpet is better tufted or woven?

One is not universally better than the other, just different. Both could be junk and either could be tough as nails.

Woven will almost always be more expensive & gives a lot more flexibility of design in patterns.

Today almost all woven is used in commercial jobs like casinos, tufted is used in both residential & commercial.
