What happened to a goat that had babies too early and won't get up?

If a goat has a hard time walking and getting up, that is a serious symptom; goats are normally very good at those things. If it were a cow, I would suspect mad cow disease (bovine spongiform encephalopathy) and if it were a man he might just be drunk, but with a goat, it's harder to come up with a likely diagnosis. It could be a stroke.
