What is the World Record for the largest human mosaic?

On November 22, 2009, a human mosaic of 90,835 people has been exhibited in Maracana Stadium - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Each participant held a single 30cm X 40cm piece of cardboard above the head forming the message "A MAIOR TORCIDO DO MUNDO FAZ A DIFERENÇA". Which means "THE WORLD´S LARGEST FANS CROWD MAKES THE DIFFERENCE".

The human mosaic filled up all the upper and lower standings of the Maracana Stadium.

It´s been made by the FLAMENGO´s fans. Brazil´s most popular football team with over 35 million supporters.
