How do you find the mean of positive and negative numbers?

Add up all the numbers and then divide by how many numbers there are...

*Example*

-8, -1, 9, 16

-8 + -1= -9+9= 0+ 16=16

16 divided by four(there are four numbers)

THe mean is 4!
