Why does your car buck when you are at a complete stop at a redlight?

A car may buck at a red light because it is in need of a tune up. The issue could be the fuel pump is not functioning properly, a clogged air filter of fuel filter, or even bad fuel. There may also be a bad spark plug or two, which is more noticeable at low speeds and idle than while driving.
