What is situationality?

In the field of text linguistics situationaity is on of the seven standards of textuality. Situationality is controlled by all the factors that render a text relevant to a communicative situation. Two main strategies are postulated here

1. Situation monitoring - when the text-producer steers the situation in order to provide an objective account of the situational model

2. Situation management - when the text-producer steers the situation towards the participant's goals
