In Pokemon Gold how do you get to Azalea Town?

After you beat Falkner then get the Pokemon egg from the Professor's aid in the Violet City Pokemon Center go down south. Keep going and you will find the Union Cave. Go throught the cave and you will get to Azalea Town.
