What bird call am I hearing late at night around Sonoma Mtn Road in Sonoma County?

That's the Sequoia Nightingale, Passiformus Credulum. Daytime sightings are rare, but they look like a small version of an Acorn Woodpecker, but with a very delicate beak instead of the sturdy beak of the woodpecker.
