In his article Alice on the Stage, Lewis Carroll described the Queen of Hearts in this way:
I pictured to myself the Queen of Hearts as a sort of embodiment of ungovernable passion--a blind and aimless Fury.
It might be consisdered then, that she represents uncontrollable anger.
In Tim Burton's 2010 movie, the Queen of Hearts from represents Hamish's mother (and Alice's potential mother-in-law.) Early in the film, she says "I told them I wanted red roses not white!"
