What is a director or IT operations?

The person who manages and directs a department or departments within an organization that is in charge of information and technology services. Depending on the organization, this can range from computers, printers, servers, networking gear, email, website(s), to other computer controlled devices such as phones, HVAC, lighting, and other automation controls, etc.
