Can anole live in cold temperature?

Anoles are generally not well-suited for cold temperatures, as they are ectothermic reptiles that rely on external heat sources to regulate their body temperature. Most species thrive in warm, tropical, or subtropical environments. When exposed to cold conditions, anoles can become lethargic and may struggle to survive, often requiring temperatures above 60°F (15°C) to remain active. Prolonged exposure to freezing temperatures can be fatal.
