The following foods, despite being controversial in the mainstream media, are quite healthy:
* Whole, natural foods * Organic, naturally raised, unprocessed meats, including fish, beef, lamb, game, organ meats, and eggs. * Traditional, natural fats such as butter, coconut oil, organic animal fats, and extra virgin olive oil, which have been used long before Heart disease ever became a problem.. * Fresh fruits and vegetables, preferably organic. * Soup made from homemade meat stocks. * Soy foods, if they are fermented the traditional Asian ways.
These following foods, on the other hand are actually, quite unhealthy and should be avoided:
* Processed artificial sweeteners, such as white sugar and high fructose corn syrup. * Modern, highly processed vegetable oils, which have been commonly used for less than a century. * Soy foods which have been processed by modern industrial methods. * Processed meats, full of chemical preservatives and flavor enhancers. Good health doesn't come from food alone. The following guidelines should also be followed:
* Get plenty of sleep, excercise, and natural sunlight. * Think positive, optimistic thoughts. * Be forgiving; don't hold grudges. * If you drink alcohol, do so in strict moderation. Information from the Weston A Price Foundation.
