Is there a fee for a copy of a Virginia birth certificate?

Virginia statutes require a fee of $12.00 for birth and other certified vital record certificates. You can go in person to the Division of Vital Records and Health Statistics and receive it that day:

Or you can mail in a request with a delivery time of 1-4 weeks for all birth records requiring no amendments, or 4-6 weeks if you require amendments.
