What are at least 10 different materials used in making cars.. and what part of the car are they used for?

1. Rubber used for tires weather stripping hoses and numerous other uses.

2.Glass used for windsheild passenger window driver Windows there are at least two types of glass being used on automobiles today. Tempered glass is used for side glass and rear glass usually. Then you have safety glass which is used for windsheilds.

3.Plastics with numerous different types of plastic used on cars.ABS plastic,PCB, PVC, I am unable to remember all of the plastics in use.They are used for everything from Dash Boards to Bumper Covers and many other things as well.

4.Fiberglass is a type of composite using spun glass and a type of plastic in this case a type of epoxy that uses MEK as it's catalyst.Fiberglass is a very versatile material and is used to build Bodies,reenforcement, it can be molded to be strong enough to have some load bearing properties.

5.Aluminum is used in numerous applications it is well liked metal because of it's versatility being strong enough in its different alloy and heat treatments to be used from engine block and suspension parts to body panels plus many other uses too numerous to list here.

6.Cast Iron used for brake rotors engine blocks suspension parts.It is very strong and is used when a type of Iron is needed that can resist high temperatures without weakening or becoming brittle.

7.HSLA Steel High Strength Low Alloy Steel this steel is used to build Unit Body Cars this steel has the advantage of not becoming brittle when it is welded and it can be formed to collapse uniformly which is important in accident safety

8.Spring Steel a special alloy of steel that is used to create springs for automobiles its main characteristics are it retains its shape after being bent and deformed in other ways.It has high tensile strength.

9Carbon Fiber this is a relatively new and expensive material but it may be the most vesatile material of all. It can be used from everything to Brake rotors to Body Parts.From engine blocks to drive shafts this is a true SPACE AGE material and it uses are pretty much unlimited.
