Many people believe that Sprite, 7up, and other "white sodas" settle mild stomach upsets. Ideed, if you are bloated. they will make you burp and relieve some of the gas pressure in your stomach. Also, these are somtimes allowed after surgery or illness when your dietary restrictions say "clear liquids". They are a tasty way to keep hydrated without taxing your digestive system like the colas might becase of the added flavorings and colorings. Remember to use the sugar-free varieties if you have sugar restictions, and don't overdo it.
