The 2000 and 3000 share a 3 cylinder engine design. The gas versions both have a displacement of 158 cu/in. The 2000 diesel is 158 cu/in and the 3000 is 175 cu/in. The only other significant difference is in the standard tire & wheel size with 2000 having a 5.5x16 front and 12.4x28 rear while the 3000 using a 6x16 front and 13.6x28 rear.
