How deep do whale sharks go to?

at 5:00pm-9:00pm the whale shark goes about 1,000 ft deep. but in the morning it spends its time in the shallow waters.

Just a short not to add that the Whale Shark (Rhincodon typus) is capable of diving to depths of at least 1,286 metres (4,219 ft, to use the above metric terminology). In Journal of Fish Biology, volume 74, February 2009.
