Is Kendall Thermazene safe to use on deep burns?

Kendall Thermazene, like the more well-known Silvadene are brand names for Silver Sulfadiazine, or SSD -- an anti-bacterial and anti-fungal cream intended for use on 2nd and 3rd degree burns, and is effective on abrasions. The med requires a sterile process, as burns populate with bacteria so easily. This means you need to apply it with sterile gloves -- not just normal latex. Once applied, leave the cream in place until the burn heals or the skin graft is ready. Liver disease, kidney disease and sulfa Allergies counterindicate this med.
