Why shouldn't schools be co ed?

Many people believe (and there is some evidence to prove) that certain children at certain ages, especially adolescent girls, perform better in single-sex classrooms. Kids may feel more comfortable about participating when they are not concerned with how they will be perceived by the opposite sex. Single-sex classrooms may also cut down on the number of distractions.
