What info does an emt need from a victim?

Specifics vary based on the particular type of incident or medical condition, but you generally will always want to get a SAMPLE history: Signs or Symptoms of the problem, Allergies, Medications, Past pertinent history, Last oral intake, and the Events leading up to the incident. If the patient is stable (and depending on the protocols you need to follow), try to gather some of the patient's personal information (name, age, gender, race, SSN, address, insurance).
