How do you get a hideout on Pokemon pearl?

In Eterna City there is a man that gives you an Explorer Kit and a string of tasks. Once you complete these tasks you will be given a Digger Drill. Go into the Underground where you want your secret base to be. Face a wall and use your digger drill. Note that they are in the Trap poket of your bag, not the Goods or Treasures pockets.
