If you were to build a pedal generator with a bank of connected light bulbs how would you wire it so that the more power that is produced the more light bulbs light up like a drag racing light tree?

Most simply, put all the light bulbs in series with the generator. The more current you can churn out the brighter theyll get.

Youll want to be careful though. Say you are using 60 watt bulbs. They each have a resistance of about 960 ohms. Therefore, if you put more than about 0.06 amps through each one, one will blow and the whole thing wont work.

To get around this, you might consider connecting each one in parallel. Then you could probably pedal as hard as you wanted to and you wouldn't blow any of them. And even if you did in that case, the rest would work fine.

I have no idea what a drag racing light tree is by the way.
