Naked mole rats defend against predators primarily through their social structure and burrowing behavior. Living in large colonies, they rely on collective vigilance and alarm calls to warn each other of danger. Additionally, their burrowing lifestyle provides protection, allowing them to quickly retreat into their underground tunnels when threatened. Their skin, which is less sensitive and tougher than that of other rodents, also helps them withstand some attacks.
