No need to remove the "lower part of the dash"; simply remove the two screws from the steering column covers and remove the covers.

that's a time consuming job. you have to drop the lower part of the dash to get to parts to disconnect the switch and of course take the molding off of the steering wheel.

cartalk says: sometimes the steering wheel comes off without a puller...if your lucky..and if your changing the tumbler(key) you'll have to drill...read a manual and your local library may have a free shop manual to peek at..
