How did the didus ineptus become extinct?

Humans indirectly caused the Didus Ineptus (Dodo) to be extinct. We introduced animals such as pigs, monkeys and rats to the Dodo which then ate all the Dodo eggs until there were no more. They became extinct in the 17th century.
